8.9 Earthquake and Tsunami Response

Join us in prayer and giving

By Pastor Brad |  March 11, 2011

“It’s the fifth-largest earthquake ever recorded,” says Kary Kingsland, senior VP of Global Initiatives at Convoy of Hope.

Pastor Darrell has asked me to email you to ask that you, please continue to pray for the families and communities devastated by yesterday’s catastrophic earthquake and widespread Tsunami.  Reports are that our two missionary families, Tony Salisbury and Ron Galbreath, are safe, however, they live in areas that have been severely impacted.  Our disaster relief partners at Convoy of Hope have already begun to respond to the overwhelming need.

As a church we are prepared to respond again.  There are two important ways to respond.
  1. Pray.
    • Pray for the victims and their families.
    • Pray for the emergency responders.
    • Pray for our missionaries.
  2. Give.
    • Come Sunday prepared to designate and offering during the service.
    • Give online to “Japan Earthquake Response.” You can link directly to online giving here.
