Gifts | The Visitation (Part 1) | Pastor Alan Ehler
What will you do with what you’ve been given?
Today we will reflect on the Parable of the Minas (Luke 19:11-27). In it, a nobleman entrusts his servants with resources, not for safekeeping, but for investment. The story reveals a profound truth: God has graciously given each of us unique gifts—our time, talents, resources, and faith.
The parable’s piercing question isn't about the size of the gift, but about our faithful action. The servants were judged not on what they were given, but on what they did with it. One hid his gift out of fear or complacency, while the others put theirs to work with courage.
As we reflect on this passage, let’s ask ourselves:
1. What am I doing with the gifts God has placed in my hands?
2. Are we, by habit, playing it safe? Or are we actively and creatively investing our all for the sake of His kingdom?
This Sunday, let’s identify one gift we can step out in faith to use for God’s glory
